You are welcome to also stay at hotels in downtown Chicago or at local guest houses around the city. Evanston is just north of Chicago, and about a 20 minute drive from downtown, and is easily accessible via public transportation.

Hollywood Beach is a short bus/train ride from Evanston, and is one of the best in Chicago.

The Air & Water show features daredevil pilots, parachute teams, and jets flying in formation, plus water skiing and boat jumping. See it from the waterfront near North Avenue Beach in downtown Chicago, or see the Air show from any of the beaches in Chicago and Evanston.
