We don't need you to bring us gifts – your presence at our wedding is enough!
However, we do understand that giving is fun! For those of you who love to give, we have set up an I Do Foundation website for some of our favorite charities, including:
The Rose - Breast Cancer Foundation
- In honor of Brock's mom, a breast cancer survivor - The Rose is based in Houston, Texas and was founded in 1987 as a grassroots initiative to help the working poor address the problem of too many women dying of breast cancer simply because they could not afford to pay for breast health care services. The Rose serves 25,000 women annually, providing free mammograms, ultrasound diagnostics, cone compressions, magnifications, and biopsies through The Rose "award winning" Sponsorship Program which is funded by grants and donations from people who share our interest in eradicating breast cancer.
National Parkinson Foundation
- In honor of Frank's mom, living with Parkinson's Disease - For over half a century, the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) has focused on meeting the needs in the care and treatment of people with Parkinson’s disease (PD). NPF has funded more than $189 million in care, research and support services.
Test Positive Aware Network (TPA Network)
- In honor of all of our friends and loved ones living with HIV/AIDS - TPAN empowers everyone living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS to live open, healthy, and productive lives. TPAN innovates to deliver peer-led support programs and collaborative wellness services and to communicate comprehensive information. TPAN will do so until HIV/AIDS is eradicated. TPAN is the organization that facilitates the Ride for AIDS Chicago, an event Brock and Frank have participated in for the past 5 years.
Midwest Dachshund Rescue
- In honor of Lucy, Brock and Frank's elderly miniature dachshund - Midwest Dachshund Rescue (MWDR) is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization that was founded in 2003, serving Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana, and other Midwest states as needed. MWDR helps to safely rehome and rehabilitate dachshunds and dachshund mixes, continually search for and work with veterinarians to provide low cost veterinary care, and educate people on the benefits of Spay/Neutering their pets.
